What About The Other 51%?
Goodness and helping. A safety net. An attempt to #SealTheCracks. Read my story HERE. That is why. To seal a few holes while we work on the rest. The other 51% is split between external kindness and an internal members emergency fund. Both are allocated by vote, and votes are weighed by contribution. Members can choose to use their contribution percentage equivalent of the members emergency fund for themselves, or put it in the grant pot. The grant pot will be paid out to members based on application and vote.
Math & Allocation
Company Profit * 0.49 = Total Stake Value
Total Stake Value/ Total Stakes Generated= Per Stake Value
Per Stake Value * Members Total Stakes = Paycheck
Company Profit * 0.51 = Area51 Fund
Area51 Fund * 0.40 = Kindness Fund
Area51 Fund * 0.60 = Members Fund
Per Stake Value / Total Stakes Generated = Contribution Percent
Contribution Percent * Members Fund= Grant Pot Contribution- Take it or pass it on.
Members Fund
Members can choose to put their share of the Members Fund in the Grant Pot. If a member chooses to keep their portion it will be paid out monthly with paychecks via Paypal on the 1st of the month. Funds placed in the pot will be available to members in more need than others at the time, via application and vote. Any member may apply for the grant pot, and any member may vote on its allocation amongst applicants.
Kindness
40% of Area51 is allocated to Kindness and that is distributed externally by vote. Members can nominate the charity of their choice to receive part or all of our kindness fund. Donations are made monthly on the 1st of the month. Members could also choose to vote the kindness fund goes toward an emergency and not a charity, or to create an event that would make the funds hold more value than donation alone. Voting and nomination will always be publically accessible below and we welcome ALL nominations for people places creatures and life that needs some assist.
